Our vision begins with you. Volunteer with Heart of Hospice to help us transform end-of-life care in the communities we serve.
Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice care team and make an invaluable difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones. Some volunteers choose to interact with patients directly, while others support us through administrative tasks. As a volunteer, you decide how you want to help. We’re always grateful for your compassion.
If you choose to support us through direct patient care, you may help visit with patients and their loved ones, provider caregiver relief, read aloud to patients, assist with housekeeping, play cards or other games, help with yard work, run errands, or care for pets.
If you choose to support our care through administrative assistance, you may help answer telephones, organize meetings and office spaces, or send patient and family mailings.
As a veteran volunteer, you would become part of our veteran-to-veteran volunteer program and may visit with veterans, participate in pinning ceremonies, share common experiences and memories, and help other veterans share their stories.
